Market composition on the dashboard
See how a selected market is distributed
Market composition is the dashboard landing page. Choose Canada or the United States to examine the selected market by category, credential type, delivery mode, and geography or provider. The visible scope also names the provider class, which defaults to higher education.
The summary separates Courses from Programs. Programs bundle courses listed in the course tier, so the two figures are not added into a third total. Every composition share on this page counts courses only. This keeps providers that publish many bundles from appearing larger because the same structure was counted twice.
Read the charts as shares
The regional or provider chart shows where indexed course volume is concentrated. Canadian data can be shown by province. When sub-national data is not available, the page can rank providers instead. Category, credential, and delivery sections show how the same course population is composed.
Selecting a chart link can open Search with the corresponding boundary. The chart is a route into the underlying offerings, not a claim about enrolment or demand.
Open the price method when it matters
Price statistics use a narrower population than the composition charts. Review How prices are reported for the eligible source, currency, pricing-model, and median boundaries before using the benchmark in a decision.
If no eligible institution-run tuition is indexed for the selected market, the page says the price benchmark is unavailable while leaving the rest of the coverage visible. The absence of a benchmark does not remove the course shares or provider context above it.
