Accepting your invitation and signing in
Open the invitation sent to you
Your invitation is tied to the email address and organization named by the sender. Open the emailed link to reach the acceptance page with its invitation token. If you are new to CredScape, set a password of at least eight characters on that page. CredScape creates the account, signs you in, and connects it to the inviting organization.
If an account already exists for the invited address, CredScape sends you to sign in first. After sign-in, return through the invitation link so the organization can be joined.
An invitation can be accepted only by the invited account. If you are signed in with another address, sign out and continue with the address that received the message. An account can belong to one organization at a time.
Set up your workspace
After a new account accepts the invitation, CredScape takes you onward to the dashboard. Because the new profile has not completed setup, the dashboard redirects you to the five-step workspace flow. You will describe your work, choose a market, and select any institutions, subjects, or Canadian occupations you want added to the library. Review Setting up your workspace before you finish, especially if alerts were previously paused for the account.
Resolve an invitation message
An expired invitation needs to be sent again by your team. An invalid or previously used link cannot be reopened. If the organization has used all of its seats, or its subscription is inactive, the invitation remains available. Ask an administrator to resolve the seat or subscription issue, then open the same link again.
Sign in later
Return to Log in with your professional email and password. Use Forgot password? if you cannot remember the password. The reset flow sends a link to your email, then asks for a new password and confirmation. If a login or reset link reports that it has expired or was already used, request a new one rather than reopening the old message.
