Job Bank postings detail

Separate volume from pay

From a Canadian Labour market report, choose Posting analytics for the selected occupation and province. The detail page uses Job Bank postings to show monthly volume, vacancies, economic regions, source mix, advertised pay, and province-wide sector context.

Posting volume includes advertisements that quote pay per hour, year, month, or week. Advertised-pay figures use only postings quoted per hour. Annual, monthly, and weekly quotes remain in the volume but are excluded from the pay calculations. The page reports how many hourly-quoted observations support those figures.

Interpret the headline median

The headline pay figure is a weighted median of regional medians. CredScape orders economic regions by their hourly P50 and weights each regional median by the number of hourly-quoted observations behind it. It is a summary of the regional values, not an exact province-wide median calculated from every individual posting.

Use the regional table to see P25, P50, and P75 for each economic region. A blank pay section means no hourly pay quartiles were published for the current selection.

Export the supporting rows

The CSV export carries one economic-region line for each regional observation. It includes the region, posting and vacancy counts, direct and external source counts, hourly P25, P50, P75, and the hourly observation count n.

Keeping n beside the quartiles helps you judge how much evidence supports each regional pay range. The generated CSV preserves those inputs for analysis outside CredScape.
