CredScape is built for continuing and professional education teams at public universities and colleges. These teams include people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification and high-contrast settings, and the application has to work for all of them.
CredScape is owned and operated by CredScape Market Intelligence Inc., a corporation incorporated under the Canada Business Corporations Act.
1. Conformance
The CredScape application conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. WCAG 2.2 Level AA includes every Level A and AA requirement of WCAG 2.1, so the application also meets WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard the ADA Title II rule sets for US public institutions.
This statement covers the application used by licensed users:
- the dashboard and every page inside it, including search, offering and provider pages, comparable sets, compare, labour market, opportunity, the saved-work library and settings
- sign-in, sign-up, invitation, password reset and account pages
- the help centre
- the comparable-set report produced by Export → PDF
2. How we test
Every page in scope is tested automatically, at desktop width and at 320 pixels wide:
- Automated rules. Tests use every axe-core rule mapped to WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 at Levels A and AA.
- Reflow. No page scrolls sideways at 320 CSS pixels.
- Resize text. The browser's default text size is set to 200%, with no text cut off.
- Text spacing. The WCAG line, letter, word and paragraph spacing overrides are applied, with no text cut off.
- Keyboard. Every page is tabbed through. Focus never gets stuck and is always visible. It is never hidden behind the header or the help button.
- High contrast. Every page is rendered in forced-colours mode, as Windows High Contrast users see it.
- Screen readers. The accessibility tree of every page is reviewed and checked for missing, misleading and icon-name labels. This tree is what a screen reader announces.
The user menu, the mobile navigation and the printed report are also tested in their open state.
3. Known limitations
- Help chat. The live chat in the help button is provided by Zendesk and is outside our testing. If it does not work with your assistive technology, email support@credscape.io and you will get the same help.
- PDF reports in other browsers. Export → PDF uses your browser's Save as PDF. Chrome and Edge produce a tagged PDF that screen readers can navigate; Safari and Firefox may not. Export → Excel carries the same figures in an accessible spreadsheet in every browser.
4. Alternative formats and feedback
We provide any figure in the application as an accessible spreadsheet or structured text file on request. If you encounter a barrier or need another format, contact us:
