Setting up your workspace
Move through five focused steps
Every new account enters a five-step setup flow before the dashboard. Start with About you, where you must choose at least one way you plan to use CredScape. You can also add your role and how you heard about the product. Then complete Your market, Institutions, Subjects, and Occupations.
Your market choice determines the dashboard market opened immediately after setup. It does not become an account-wide default for later research. Search and other pages keep their own geography controls.
Choose the work you want ready
You can select up to 20 institutions, 8 subject areas, and 8 occupations. Institution and subject selections are optional. Occupations use Canadian NOC codes, so choosing any occupation also requires a Canadian province.
Review the selections on the final step before choosing Finish setup. CredScape uses them to prepare your library:
Each institution becomes a saved library item with its alert on.
Each subject becomes a saved search with its alert on.
Each occupation becomes a saved Canadian labour-market view for the selected province. Labour-market views cannot send alerts.
These are working starting points. You can organize, rename, or remove your saved work later from the Saved work library.
Check the account-wide alert switch
Finishing with any institution, subject, or occupation selection turns the account-wide Alert emails switch on. This also happens if you previously paused alerts or used an email link to unsubscribe from all alerts. Individual institution and subject selections are armed during setup. Occupation views remain non-alertable.
After setup, open the library to confirm what you are monitoring. You can pause all alert emails there without deleting saved work.
